Install Ledion
Ledion installs into one HubSpot account. It adds a Send conversion step to your contact and deal workflows, and its own pages inside HubSpot. There’s no new tool to log in to.
Before you start
- HubSpot Professional or Enterprise. Ledion is a workflow step, and HubSpot grants the workflow permission Ledion needs (
automation) only on Professional or Enterprise. On Starter or Free, the install doesn’t finish. - The right HubSpot user. Install as a Super Admin. Other users need HubSpot’s Marketplace access permission plus the account permissions behind each item in What Ledion asks for. Without them, HubSpot shows a permissions error.
- An install link. Ledion isn’t on the HubSpot App Marketplace yet. During the beta, I email each company a direct install link. Join the beta to get one.
Install
-
Open the install link from my email. It takes you to HubSpot. If HubSpot asks which account to install into, pick the one whose workflows should send conversions.

HubSpot lists what Ledion asks for. Review it and click Connect app.

Once Ledion is listed on the HubSpot App Marketplace, you’ll install it from its listing instead.
What Ledion asks for
automationadds the Send conversion step to your workflows and reports each run’s result back to the workflow.crm.objects.contacts.readreads a contact’s email, phone and click IDs when the step runs, so the networks can match the conversion. Tracking health counts click IDs with it too.crm.objects.deals.readreads a deal’s amount and currency, and which contacts belong to the deal.crm.schemas.contacts.writecreates the Ledion contact properties listed below. Ledion doesn’t write to your contact records.oauthis the base permission every app installed in HubSpot gets.
That’s the full list. Ledion reads identifiers when the step runs, hashes them, sends them and keeps nothing. The details are on the security page.
What Ledion adds to HubSpot
- The Send conversion step, in contact and deal workflows (Add the step to a workflow).
- Ledion’s pages, inside HubSpot:
- Get started: four steps to your first conversion, each marked Done once Ledion sees it working.
- Connections: your ad accounts (Manage connections).
- Conversions: what you send, and where it goes in each network (Create a conversion).
- Activity: every send and each network’s result (Check Activity and retry sends).
- Tracking health: how many paid leads carry a click ID (Read Tracking health).
- Plan: your plan, this month’s sends and billing (Plan and billing).
- Settings: alert emails, currency, Google consent, your data and uninstall (Change settings).
- 14 days of Pro. Every new install starts with 14 days of Pro. The plans are on the pricing page.
- A contact property group named Ledion, with 11 properties. The capture script fills them through hidden fields on your HubSpot forms, and Ledion reads them when it sends.
Each property’s label starts with “Ledion:”, like “Ledion: Google click ID (gclid)”. The internal names:
- Google Ads click IDs:
ledion_gclid,ledion_gbraid,ledion_wbraid - Meta click ID and browser ID:
ledion_fbc,ledion_fbp - Microsoft click ID:
ledion_msclkid - LinkedIn click ID, for when LinkedIn ships:
ledion_li_fat_id - Reddit click ID and browser ID:
ledion_rdt_cid,ledion_rdt_uuid - TikTok click ID, saved only (Ledion doesn’t send to TikTok):
ledion_ttclid - Ad click time:
ledion_click_at
Check it worked
- Ledion opens on Get started and shows 0 of 4 done.
- Your contact properties include the Ledion group. If it isn’t there yet, open Ledion again: it finishes creating the properties in the background.
Get started
Get started lists the four steps to your first conversion and marks each one Done when Ledion sees it working:
- Connect a network: a connection is Active (Manage connections).
- Create a conversion: a conversion is on, and sends to at least one network (Create a conversion).
- Add Send conversion to a workflow: the step has run for a real record at least once (Add the step to a workflow).
- Install the capture script: a contact created in the last 30 days has a Ledion click ID (Install the capture script).
The next step to do has the main button. When all four are done, the page says “Setup is done.”
Find Ledion later
- Ledion’s pages: in HubSpot, click the Marketplace icon and pick Ledion under Your recently visited apps.
- Ledion’s settings page: Marketplace icon → Connected apps → My apps → Ledion → Settings tab. It shows Ledion’s status, your plan, how many networks are connected, the alert emails and an Open Ledion button.
Common problems
- HubSpot shows a permissions error instead of the install screen. Your HubSpot user can’t install apps. Ask a Super Admin to open the install link.
- “HubSpot didn’t grant access, so nothing was installed.” The install was declined, or the account can’t grant the workflow permission. Ledion needs HubSpot Professional or Enterprise.
- “This install link expired or was already used.” Click Start the install again on that page. It takes about a minute.
- “Something went wrong on Ledion’s side and nothing was saved.” Try again in a minute. If it happens again, email santi@ledion.io.
- Ledion’s pages say “Workflows need HubSpot Professional or Enterprise.” The account didn’t grant the workflow permission, so the step can’t run. Upgrade the HubSpot account, or email santi@ledion.io if you think your plan has workflows.
- “Ledion lost access to this HubSpot account. Reinstall Ledion.” Install again with your link. A reinstall within 30 days keeps your setup.
Uninstall
You can uninstall from Ledion’s Settings or from HubSpot’s Connected apps. Either way, your setup is kept for 30 days in case you come back, then deleted. A paid plan isn’t canceled by the uninstall: cancel it first. Disconnect and uninstall has the steps and what happens to your data.
Next
Manage connections explains the Connections page. Then connect a network: Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads or Reddit. Start with the one you spend the most on.
