Read Tracking health
A conversion that carries the ad’s click ID can be matched to the exact click. Without one, the network has to match on email or phone, or can’t match at all. Ledion’s Tracking health page shows how many of your new contacts from paid ads carry each network’s click ID, so you can fix the gap before conversions go missing.
How Ledion counts
- Once a day, Ledion counts the contacts created in the 7 days before. The page says when: “Checked [date].”
- Paid contacts are new contacts whose HubSpot original source is paid search (for the Google Ads and Microsoft Ads rows) or paid social (for Meta and Reddit). Ledion can’t tell yet which network a paid search or paid social contact came from, so the Google Ads and Microsoft Ads rows both count every paid search contact, and Meta and Reddit every paid social one.
- With a click ID means the contact has that network’s click ID in a property Ledion sends from:
| Network | Click ID properties |
|---|---|
| Google Ads | ledion_gclid, ledion_gbraid, ledion_wbraid, or HubSpot’s own hs_google_click_id |
| Meta | ledion_fbc, or HubSpot’s own hs_facebook_click_id |
| Microsoft Ads | ledion_msclkid |
ledion_rdt_cid |
There’s one row per network you’ve connected. Ledion stores the daily counts only, never which contacts they were.
Screenshot to come: Ledion, Tracking health: one row per connected network with its bar, the coverage sentence, the trend and a fix link on an amber row
Read a row
Each row says something like “71% of new contacts from paid search have a Google Ads click ID (142 of 200).”
- The bar is green at 80% or more, amber from 50%, and red below 50%.
- The trend compares with the check a week earlier: “Up 4 points from last week.”
- No paid contacts in those 7 days: the row says “No new contacts from paid search yet.” (or paid social) and shows no bar.
Under the rows:
- New contacts with a phone number. Phone numbers help Google Ads and Meta match more conversions.
- Sends with an email or phone. Of the week’s sends, how many had an email or a phone to match on.
Fix a low row
An amber or red row links to the fix that fits:
| The row says | What’s going on | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Install the capture script on every page of your site. | No new contact in the last 30 days has a Ledion click ID, so the capture script isn’t filling your forms | Add the script to your site |
| Add the [Network] hidden fields to every form that collects leads from ads. | Some contacts have Ledion click IDs, but none of this network’s | Add the hidden fields |
| Some [Network] clicks reach your forms without a click ID. Check that redirects keep URL parameters. | Some contacts have it, too few do | Check it works with a test click ID |
The capture script reads the click ID from the landing page’s address, so a redirect that drops the address’s parameters on the way loses it.
Before the first check
Until the first daily check, the page says “No click IDs seen yet” and links to the capture script. Get started marks Install the capture script done once a new contact from the last 30 days has a Ledion click ID.
